Fanny Ardant is a French actress. She has appeared in more than eighty motion pictures since 1976.

Fanny is the daughter of Jacqueline Charlotte Gabrielle and Jean Marie Joseph Maurice Ardant. Her father was a cavalry officer who was related to Colonel Charles Ardant du Picq. Fanny has three children, including a daughter with her partner, late director François Truffaut.

Fanny’s paternal grandfather was Lucien Marie Joseph Maurice Ardant (the son of Jacques François Maurice Adolphe Ardant and Ursule Marie Suzanne Alexandrine Thézard). Fanny’s grandfather Maurice was born in Limoges, Haute-Vienne, Limousin, France. Jacques was the son of Jean Maurice Ardant and Marie Anne Francoise Gabrielle Dite Fanny Texandier. Fanny’s great-grandmother Marie Suzanne was the daughter of Marin Jean Baptiste Robert Thézard and Louise Suzanne Eugénie Boujou.

Fanny’s paternal grandmother was Gabrielle Henriette Lefebvre (the daughter of Joseph Jules Lefebvre and Marie/Maria Augustine Coustenoble). Gabrielle was born in Paris, to parents from Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Joseph was the son of Joseph Amand Lefebvre and Pauline Flavie Bonnel. Marie was the daughter of Augustin Joseph Coustenoble and Sophie Augustine Bonnel.

Fanny’s maternal grandfather was Jacques Lecoq (the son of Paul Lecoq and Gabrielle Marie Louise Huette). Jacques was born in Souppes-sur-Loing, Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France. Paul was the son of Jules Antoine Lecoq and Marie Emeline Malvina Rousseau. Gabrielle was the daughter of Mathurin Charles Huette and Pauline Fontaine.

Fanny’s maternal grandmother was Marie Simone Lefevre (the daughter of Louis Simon Charles Lefevre and Noemie Josephe Marie Huette). Marie was born in Orléans, Loiret, Centre. Louis was the son of Louis Aguilas Lefevre and Henriette Charlotte Paginon. Noemie was the daughter of Mathurin Charles Huette and Pauline Fontaine. Through this line, Fanny’s maternal grandparents were first cousins.
