Rainn Wilson is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, businessperson, and producer. He is known for his role on the series The Office and in the films House of 1000 Corpses, The Rocker, The Meg, and Don’t Tell a Soul, among others.

Rainn is the son of Patricia and Robert George Wilson. His father was of one half Norwegian, one quarter Dutch, and one quarter Swedish, descent. His mother is of English and Dutch ancestry. He is married to writer Holiday Reinhorn, with whom he has a son.

He was raised a Bahá’í.

Rainn’s paternal grandfather was Chester Goodwin Wilson (the son of Isaac Enard Wilson and Anna Dorothea Bergan). Chester was born in Red Lake County, Minnesota. Isaac was the son of Norwegian parents, Gabriel Vellesen Wilson/Veen/Willeson, of Bjerkreim County, and Abigail/Abegael/Abigael Isaksdatter Noraas/Nordaasen. Anna was born in North Dakota, also to Norwegian parents, Christian Christiansen Bergan, from Modum, Viken, and Emma Karoline Andreasdatter Lóken, from Spydeberg, Østfold.

Rainn’s paternal grandmother was Lilith Marion Meintsma (the daughter of Bert Lambert Meintsma and Nora Bergstrom). Lilith was born in Wright County, Minnesota. Bert was Dutch, and was the son of George L. Meintsma and Theresa Smits. Nora was the daughter of Swedish parents, Oscar Bergstrom and Johanna/Hannah Carlson.

Rainn’s maternal grandfather was Rollie/Roland Harrison Whitman (the son of Theodore Orick Whitman and Edna Lora Mosher). Roland was born in Bay City, Bay, Michigan. Theodore was the son of Harrison Whitman and Henrietta/Etta Louisa Fales, whose mother was Canadian. Edna was the daughter of Charles Emery/Emory Mosher and Susanna/Susie/Susan Jane Garrison, who was also Canadian.

Rainn’s maternal grandmother was Catherine Josephine Williams (the daughter of Theodore Williams/Willems and Anna/Johanna Weyenberg). Catherine was born in Kimberly, Outagamie, Wisconsin. Theodore was born in Wisconsin, to Dutch parents, Cornelous/Cornelius Williams/Willems and Johanna van Dyck/Dijk. Anna was born in Holland, Brown, Wisconsin, to Dutch parents, Daniel Weyenberg/van Weijenberg and Jacoba Coenen.

    Rainn’s maternal grandmother was Katherine J. Williams (the daughter of Theodore Williams/Willems and Anna Weyenberg). Katherine was born in Wisconsin. Theodore was born in Wisconsin, to Dutch parents, Cornelius Willems and Johanna van Dijk. Anna was born in Wisconsin, to Dutch parents, Daniel Weyenberg/van Weijenberg and Rosa Jacoba Coenen.

    Rainn’s paternal great-great-grandparents were Gabriel Vellesen Veen/Wilson and Abegael Isaksdatter Noraas/Nordaasen, both from Norway.

    I can’t really tell who is his great-grandfather. There’s too many of them.
