Paul Johansson is an American-Canadian actor, film director, and television director. His roles include the Highlander: The Raven and One Tree Hill series, and the film Atlas Shrugged: Part I, which he also directed.
Paul is the son of Joanne and Canadian ice hockey player Earl Johnson (born Earl Otto Johansson). Among Paul’s siblings is comedian Pete Johansson.
Paul’s paternal grandfather was named Earl Otto Johansson, Sr. Earl was Swedish.
Paul’s paternal grandmother was Maria Eva Larocque (the daughter of Alfred Joseph Larocque and Antoinette Piorier). Maria was born in Ontario, Canada, and was French-Canadian.

From my research I believe Paul’s ethnicity should say father = half Swedish/ half French-Canadian. Mother = English, at least 1/8th or some Irish. Also no Italian from what I’ve seen.
Earl Otto Johannson (1931-2015) was the son of Earl Otto Johannson Sr. (1899) who was Swedish born and Maria Eva Larocque (1908), Ontario Canada. Maria was the daughter of Alfred Jospeh Larocque and Antionette Piorier. As for Paul’s mother it appears her full name was Joane Leanne Proud (1936-2011), the daughter of Brownie Proud and Joan Ethel King (as noted in the text). Joan was the daughter of Frances King (1875) and Florence L. Barron (1880). Frances was the son of Hugh King Sr. and Leticia Furlotte. Hugh was Irish and Leticia was English.
Leticia was French-Canadian and Irish. Her parents were Francis Dupuis Firlotte and Elizabeth Dempsey.
