She is one of the most racially mixed people I have seen. She’s a wonderful combination of ethnicities and has a great complexion, but always leaves me asking: What are you?

marjanel December 1, 2015 at 7:15 pm

In latín América people would consider her black or at least mulatta.

slowdive January 29, 2016 at 12:55 pm

No they wouldn’t and in most Latin American countries there’s a distinction between blacks and mulattoes (e.g. Dominican Republic, Brazil, etc.) she looks typically mestiza.

Samiiraa July 6, 2017 at 1:11 pm

No they would not. She doesn’t look mestiza either. She looks mixed with black and white with a little more white.

Dogg March 17, 2015 at 5:56 am

She’s multiracial.

me February 27, 2015 at 8:24 pm

ME June 9, 2014 at 8:19 pm

ihatemostpeople June 9, 2014 at 9:47 pm

She is not ugly whatsoever. I’d like too see what you look like. Your ugly jealous ass over here judging people and their appearances…. I bet you look like shit. Btw Camila Alves is not a Latina. She’s a mulatto from Brazil. She’s African and Portuguese. Adriana Lima is not a Latina either. Brazilians are not considered [email protected]/Hispanics.

ME June 9, 2014 at 10:28 pm

marjanel December 1, 2015 at 7:04 pm

No they are not the same thing. Not all latinos are hispanic, for examole brazilians. They don’t speak Spanish(then they are not hispanic) but They speak portuguese(making them latino).Although, not all brazilians would consider themselves latino, a real native brazilian would not do it.

marjanel December 1, 2015 at 7:10 pm

When I say native I am talking about indigenous.

Michella Murphy June 17, 2014 at 11:26 am

Brazil is in South America and they dont called themselves Latinas, but preto, you are an ugly bully!

marjanel December 1, 2015 at 7:09 pm

What are you talking about? one thing is race and another language.Brazil is in Latín América. They speak portuguese a latín derivated language.Second, not all brazilians call themselves pretos Because Brazil is a multicultural country They have everything, only mulatos in Brazil call themselves pretos , a white brazilian would not say that is preto but whits.Third, nobody in Latín American use the word latino so much. In the same way Americans never say that they are Anglophones and less would say that latino is a race.

WTF June 4, 2014 at 5:59 pm

she kind of looks kim kardashian in some pictures

JasonBaker May 21, 2014 at 12:37 pm

I don’t think she’s pretty. She might have a good body, but I don’t think her face is pretty (not ugly tho). What I do think is that she is a talented actress. I like her singing skills too.

WTF June 4, 2014 at 6:07 pm

p.s. here is a picture to prove how much they look alike. she didn’t used to look like this? wtf happened to her? she’s basically transforming into the whore kim k! naya used to be prettier.

indo March 19, 2014 at 10:57 pm

midori29 April 9, 2014 at 5:39 pm

Latina is NOT a race. Latin is African, European, and Asian all mixed up. Why people do not read and travel I do not know. Of course she would look Latin because most Latins are the exact racial combination of African, European and Asian.

TajMahmud May 14, 2014 at 11:41 am

You need to do your research on what “Latin” is because you are clearly wrong. You must be referring to the braod term “Hispanic”.

marjanel December 1, 2015 at 7:13 pm

And you are wrong toó.Hispanic doesn’t mean anything what he say either. Both are eurocentric words.

Brigzzz98 January 19, 2014 at 5:46 am

She used to be ugly when she was younger
Then she blossomed into this latina godess…my
Opinion plastic surgery

neiltennant March 19, 2014 at 5:59 am

she never was ugly

plus people change their looks naturally when they grow up

ihatemostpeople January 18, 2014 at 2:09 am

She’s alright. Overrated.

AnonymousPerson December 30, 2013 at 5:25 pm

She’s pretty, but of course all mixed people are (MOST of them anyway)

carla_reneau0323 November 6, 2013 at 8:14 am

For the people saying puertorican is not black newsflash idiots the Puerto Rican ethnicity is a mixture of:
Spaniards, Taino Indians and African slaves there for we have black in us thank you now stop being ignorants and educate yourself.

midori29 April 9, 2014 at 5:41 pm

Yes there are BLACK Puerto Ricans, I have been to Puerto Rico, there are some midnight black, tar colored Puerto Ricans. African slaves were transported there by the Spanish.

aaa June 29, 2013 at 7:22 pm

she looks triracial.Mestiza and mulatto in same time.

midori29 April 9, 2014 at 5:42 pm

Mestiza is mullato too. Puerto Ricans are part African themselves.

Jamangel March 28, 2013 at 7:44 pm

Beautiful girl. However, Puerto Rican is not a race or ethnicity. Puerto Ricans are Mestizos. They are Taino’s, (native Caribbean Peoples) called Arawaks in Jamaica, African and Spanish descent. Even if Puerto Ricans are as black as a Sudanese they tend to not mention their African ancestry.

fuzzybear44 March 29, 2013 at 4:22 am

Your first person I’ve seen on here ,use Mestizos the way it was original meant(simply mixed)

lexi_redbone November 1, 2013 at 7:01 am

Puerto Rican is not black. They’re their own race.

ben January 7, 2014 at 11:23 am

Really I guess you are a non Caribbean person. Is American a race?

midori29 April 9, 2014 at 5:43 pm

Puerto Rican is NOT a race it is a culture. You really need to travel.

BellaTrainer December 24, 2012 at 9:06 am

She unfortunately, looks very different now. She’s apparently had a lot of work done :/

Islander_Miss December 17, 2012 at 6:43 pm

Her sister looks more African American than she does. To me Naya looks Latina.

me December 23, 2012 at 5:53 pm

Naya Rivera played a role of an African American girl:
But even with curly hair and before the plastic surgeries, she looked triracial.

exotiq January 26, 2013 at 9:07 pm

how do you know that she’s had any work done whatsoever? Is this fact or just an assumption? I’m multiracial myself and when I went to my 20-year high school reunion some people thought I had some work done, which I had nothing. Peoples looks change as they age–it’s normal, it doesn’t mean you had any work done…This is very apparent with people of multiracial descent…My European ancestry shows more now than it did when I was a child…when you’re a child you have a pudgy face and nose….when you grow up, your features become more refined and if one of your white parent has a narrow nose, you could have one too when you’re grown…. People seem to assume that it must be ‘work done’ when it could just be just simple growing up! …Funny how people just assume stuff when they have no facts to support their statements.

LadyNikkitten November 30, 2013 at 6:30 am

That’s actually very true with mixed people. We do grow up strangely – kind of morph into one or another race LOL. One of my best friends is biracial (white russian, black african, and distant mongolian) – she had really light brown blue eyes, platinum blond hair, and darker skin when she was a baby up to 5, then slowly her skin was getting lighter, her hair darker, and her eyes became a steel blue ( grayish blue ). Her nose got thinner and her lips got thinner too – well by the time we reached out twenties she looked like every other russian girl with dark blond hair, blue eyes you see on the fashion runways and you wouldn’t even be able to tell that her dad is straight up charcoal black LOL and no she never had any surgeries done (yet)

The Beautiful Ones January 7, 2014 at 11:39 am

@The Beautiful Ones….No one was talking about Michael Jackson….except you! …Of course he had surgeries!!! …DUH!!! ….Unless you lived under a rock, everyone would know that. Don’t compare him to everyone else though!! HELLO!!! ….Use a better argument, cause that one didn’t work… lol

fuzzybear44 March 29, 2013 at 4:30 am

She is so annoying. She barely has blk in her.

Nathalie February 18, 2012 at 2:38 pm

but why does that matter if she “barely has any black in her”? she only said in an interview that’s what is in her blood, what’s wrong with that? i didn’t hear her say she identifies as a black woman.

midori29 April 9, 2014 at 5:49 pm

Her dad can be black Puerto Rican or a majority black Puerto Rican

nathaniel thomas January 29, 2012 at 5:43 pm

Naya reminds me of niyah from youtube

storm January 28, 2012 at 1:44 am

Most beautiful woman ever!

nautigue January 7, 2012 at 12:10 am

Yes, a lot of mixed Taino/Arawak in Puerto Rico. A blend of various Europeans, a blend of people from other islands and countries and also mix of Spanish, Taino, and African ancestry. Majority of African Americans have European and Native bloodlines too!! So she looks Latina – Especially Puerto Rican/Cuban, Dominican and Brazilian.
The Tainos/Arawak originally came from South America, and then to the Islands of Puerto Rico, Dom Rep, and Cuba!

Candice January 5, 2012 at 9:09 am

She’s got the best of all worlds! GO GIRL!

SparkleTime December 31, 2011 at 1:13 pm

She is gorgeous.

K November 16, 2011 at 7:49 pm

Her father is Puerto Pican and her mother is half Black half German

Miguel Perez January 9, 2012 at 12:10 pm

Overly simplistic but true and accurate.

Genetically most likely she would be something like:

Puerto Ricans average out to 33% European 33% African 33% Native (Tanio).

African Americans Average out to 75% African 25% European

So technically she would be 41.5% European 41.5% African 17% Native.

jonopy January 21, 2012 at 10:51 pm

she may have 41.5% European, 41.5% African and 17% Native. But by looking at her, i say the native gene is strong on this one. Beautiful

me November 15, 2011 at 7:29 pm

she seems part Asian

over9000 October 9, 2011 at 3:46 am

As soon as i saw her i thought she looked part Native American. Has she got a little bit of that in her? cause i don’t think Puerto Rico is that mixed, just white Spanish and black, and maybe Mulatto.

S December 24, 2011 at 11:14 pm

There are actually a lot of indigenous or “native” people in Puerto Rico, and a lot of the people on the island may not be full blooded Taino (thats the name of the tribe) but they are mixed just like most Latin American countries.

rebecca August 6, 2011 at 11:37 pm

monica the talking about rihanna black is a strong color so lets see it you know the girl from shake it up zenedaya coleman type it up if you don’t know she is white and black but her skinned tone is black i’m indian but nobody is going to see that i’m black like batack obama he’s white but is black but people perfer him black because of the hertage is dark

amber A. July 24, 2011 at 7:02 am

so wat ? if we mixed ppl claim our black side it’s like we’re not proud of it .. & it we claim to be mixed it like were self hating africans who r not proud to be black .. luk wat do u even noe ? yr not even mixed so stfu .. i think we mixed ppl r already confused to which side we suld chose ..
and the last thing we need is ppl like YOU to insult us !!
p.s i’m irish,,English decent & quatar african ..
i claim my white side cuz i look more white .. but i also mention to ppl tht i am black ..

exotiq April 6, 2013 at 12:47 pm

I guess you were trying to respond to me? It helps if you can spell though, to be credible. And what makes you think I’m not mixed? I am very mixed–Tri-racial to be exact…Asian, European and African, and I am a Latina from the Latin Caribbean, so that would make me the epitome of being mixed, so therefore, who else but someone like me, would know about being mixed or living the mixed experience and also looking ambiguous in appearance, so no one can ever guess exactly what my mixed combination is. The way Naya looks, she could easily be one of my siblings or any number of my relatives—Heck I resemble her slightly since I’ve been told numerous times in my life that I look Filipino or like someone from Indonesia.

I’ve never implied that multi-racials can’t be anything other than how they feel most comfortable in being–it’s an individual thing because not every family is alike, nor do we all come from the same place or grow up in the same neighborhood or have the same experiences in life…..which is why I also say that it is no ones’ business in judging how a mixie identifies nor is it acceptable to question their choices in living the life or culture that they most identify with.

All anyone needs and should do is respect and accept the life and choices a mixed race individual lives for themselves—just concern yourself with your own life, which is what we all do anyway.

monica June 19, 2011 at 12:18 pm

what about rihanna?
she is half afro-guyanese, quarter afro-bajan and quarter irish, yet people refer to her as ‘black’ and not mixed.
she’s 75% black and 25% white, how come no one counts that 25% of white, but if someone is 25% african, they are automatically seen as black mixed/light-skinned black e.g. naya rivera. she’s also 25% german, which is white, how comes then she isnt regarded as white, but because shes quarter african american, she’s black?

Wow June 19, 2011 at 6:06 pm

you misunderstood,I didn’t said she was black.I said if she is part AA,then that is part of what she is.I never said she had to call herself black(naya). Now as far as rihanna goes, although I see her as a young black woman,I know she has a mixed bloodline.People recognize what they’re familar with, and with her they see a black girl.I’m like her in that one of my grandparents is white, but I see myself as black. Now if she wants to be seen as a mixed girl, that’s fine with me I have no problem with that.I wasn’t mad about that, just at what that other person had to say.

David July 2, 2011 at 4:56 am

She looks like it and so does Rihanna. I look white, but I’m mixed. The reason I’m considered white is because I look like it.

over9000 October 9, 2011 at 3:23 am

My cousins are half African (Malawian) and they’re way darker than Rihanna so i doubt she’s actually 75% African. Keri Hilson is considered fully black too and i know mulattoes that are darker than her. Don’t get me wrong, i know that Africa has many different ethnicities and a range of different skin tones but c’mon, have you ever seen a black African person as light as Rihanna and Keri Hilson?

One Love December 30, 2011 at 6:47 pm

Honey I actually have seen them and plenty. My step mum is lighter than both Rihanna and keri and she has freckles in her body. And many people say Africans can be mixed as well and I know that but my step mum can go as far back as her great great great grand parents and none of them are white or mixed she’s just one very light Central African woman. One thing we forget is we see these celebs on tv and what not and all those lights and camera flashes actually make them look lighter than they’re. My friend saw Beyonce once and she said she’s indeed light but nowhere as light as we see on tv. It comes to Black people in general being in America, Africa or Caribbean their skin tones should really never be how you measure their admixtures it’s very misleading.
P.S: Rihanna was just called N***a b***h by a white magazine and she had a racism encouter by a portuguese man calling her negro again. So yeah white people still see her or keri as just black despite her being somewhat mixed

asdfghjkl April 19, 2011 at 7:26 am

she is my favorite in Glee…Love her!♥

Melanie Lombardi February 18, 2011 at 12:00 pm

She’s so pretty(: She’s my 2nd favorite of the Cheerios, other than Dianna Agron. I was pretty sure she was Hispanic but never a quarter white and black, interesting.

ashley December 29, 2011 at 11:29 pm

Basically she is mixed because puerto rican , domican and so on is not a ethnicity its a island . Most puerto rican I know are mixed . Moset Dominicans I KNow are black ( afro latino ) So in all she is mixed . Latinos is of AFRICAN , eUROPEAN AND NATIVE DESCENT LIKE ANYONE else that is mixed the only difference is the language and culture .

sam January 29, 2011 at 8:15 am

kickup October 2, 2010 at 12:06 pm

this chick is a light skinned fully black girl with mixed heritage….like most of us Black people in AMERicA AND so what?

magdalena October 4, 2010 at 9:52 pm

i didnt say she wasnt black. shes half puertorican. so she could be either black/native/spanish. and shes not fully black as you can see it. shes part german as well as african american

exotiq June 19, 2011 at 9:02 am

I’m so sick & tired of African Americans trying to claim everyone with the slightest African in them—You guys need to get a clue and wake up to present day–It’s not Jim Crowe or Slavery era anymore—Get with the program!!! Stop showing how ignorant you remain to be!!!! …And also stop using Whites as your excuse—Whites aren’t one dropping anymore!!!! …Why not just accept who you are and love yourselves!!! If you did that in the first place, you wouldn’t be trying to claim anything that has African and White in them—It’s not like it will get you closer to being white, so stop doing it!!! …It’s not working–You just look stupid trying to do it…and desperate!!! …You self-haters!

exotiq June 19, 2011 at 9:06 am

…And when African Americans say that they are all mixed===It sounds like they don’t like being who they are which is black! …It also sounds like they feel left out when true mixed-race people can actually say that they are indeed mixed, while African Americans may have some white & maybe native indian in their lineage, it goes back several generations leaving them still only BLACK….NOT MIXED!!!.

wow June 19, 2011 at 10:15 am

You must be smoken the good shit,we want to be close to white, stfu. You don’t what hell your talking about, sounds to me like your scared that black in you. There’s nothing exotiq about you except that your a stupid fool.

Wow June 19, 2011 at 11:02 am

25% is not slight,if she has it in her that’s it.If your sick of hearing it tell your women and others to stop opening their legs

Cole October 5, 2010 at 2:59 am

Latina or hispanic are not races. People from Latin America can be white, black, or native. She’s obviously a mix of these, but there are mostly Black Latin Americans if you look at Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic…etc

fuzzybear October 5, 2010 at 3:05 am

To Cole

Don’t forget about southern Mexicans

exotiq June 19, 2011 at 9:08 am

…and of course, you know because…you are from those countries….right?! lol :)

wow June 19, 2011 at 10:22 am

He doesn’t have to be,it’s obvious he can read, you stupid fool.

jus September 12, 2011 at 5:16 pm

No, what they said is just common sense. People from latinoamerica can be from any race. You won’t know if someone is from latinoamerica/hispanic unless they open their mouth. But off course this pisses off ignorant amerrukans.

Catherine October 19, 2011 at 3:31 pm

that is so not true…man why are you even writing this stuff when you dont have a clue?. While Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are latin american countries they are waaay different from the rest, they are often called caribbean countries and yes the ppl tend to be black.

You have other countries that tend to be white: Argentina and Uruguay. People from Paraguay, Bolivia even Chile and part of Peru are mostly native; from Ecuador and Colombia black. It really depends of the country or even the city you are talking about, in the capital you will see a lot of white people but mostly here in Peru, where im from, we are mixed…I really cant tell what i am, ethnicity whise: my grandma is chinesse, my other grandma is black, my grandfather is criollo (mixed) and my other grandad is super white (im talkin blond hair, blue eyes)…and even so I can say that they all are mixed, one way or another.

so what im trying to say is that there isnt really a color skin for people from latin america but i guess what americans consider “latino” is mexican or puerto rican features.

p.s: sorry for the bad english…just wanted to put this out there

See the Census Bureau website if you don’t think “Hispanic” or “Latino” is an actual race.

When are young minded latinos recognize that mixed is mixed , black and afro latino are the same thing like it or not . Now I know your people are very racist when it comes to this subject . But a blak american is the same as a black latino the only different is the language and culture . Just as a mixed person is the same as a mixed latino the same thing. WHo is to say her father could also be mixed or even Afro latino . Mixed is mixed tired of hispanic and latinos , whites trying to make it lilke its a huge difference . Latinos are mixed , European, African or native .

To exotiq

While I want try to speak for everyone else,My mixed bloodline doesn’t go back just several generations, mines is also recent. However,I’m the first to yell that I am a proud Black man. Also as was said,I can read.I don’t have to be from a country to study it.My grandfather was a latino so I study that part of my heritage,as well(the white, chinese, native American)and most important to me,the black part.So your the one speaking about what you don’t know.

what about rihanna?
she is half afro-guyanese, quarter afro-bajan and quarter irish, yet people refer to her as ‘black’ and not mixed.
she’s 75% black and 25% white, how come no one counts that 25% of white, but if someone is 25% african, they are automatically seen as black mixed/light-skinned black e.g. naya rivera. she’s also 25% german, which is white, how comes then she isnt regarded as white, but because shes quarter african american, she’s black?
