Gary Barlow is an English producer, musician, songwriter, and singer. He rose to fame as a member of pop group Take That. Other members of the band are Howard Donald, Mark Owen, and, previously, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. He was a judge on The X Factor UK.

Gary is the son of Marjorie (Cowan) and Colin Barlow. He is married to dancer Dawn Andrews, with whom he has three children.

Gary’s maternal grandfather was named Jim Cowan. Cowan is often a Scottish surname.

Gary’s maternal grandmother was named Madge.
