CoCo Vandeweghe is an American professional tennis player. She was a Junior US Open champion and a top 10 singles player, and has also won two WTA titles, at the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships in Den Bosch.

She is the daughter of Tauna Vandeweghe, an Olympic competition swimmer, and Robert Mullarkey. Her uncle (mother’s brother) is professional basketball executive and player Kiki VanDeWeghe.

CoCo’s paternal grandfather was named Thomas Francis Xavier Mullarkey (the son of James Mullarkey and Florence). Thomas was born in New York, to Irish parents.

CoCo’s paternal grandmother was Theresa Ann Mall (the daughter of John Sylvester Mall and Laura Kennish). Theresa was born in Colorado. John was born in Colorado, to an Austrian father, Alois Mall, and to an American mother, Clara Holz, of German ancestry. Laura was the daughter of William Kennish, whose father was born on the Isle of Man, and of Martha Elizabeth Harshman.

CoCo’s maternal grandfather was professional basketball player Ernie Vandeweghe (born Ernest Maurice Vandeweghe, Jr., the son of Ernest Maurice Van de Weghe, Sr. and Mary Smith). CoCo’s grandfather Ernie was born in Montréal, Québec, Canada. CoCo’s great-grandfather Ernest was born in New York, to a father from Belgium, who was of Flemish descent, and to a mother from Germany. Mary was the daughter of Rufus Smith.

CoCo’s maternal grandmother was Colleen Kay Hutchins (whose parents surnames were Hutchins and Perry). Colleen was born in California. She was Miss America 1952. Her brother was professional basketball player Mel Hutchins.
