        Thank you. My question is, was her ancestor from Austria an ethnic Austrian? I know emigrants from Austria often weren’t (was he Czech?).

          Göfis is near Liechtenstein and Swiss border. I doubt he was Czech. I’m more convinced her ancestor from Bohemia was Sudeten German.

          I think you misunderstood bablah here. Franz Joseph Malin was definitely not Sudeten German, but Austrian. I think bablah refered to Margaret Marie Guentner as Sudeten German, rather.
