Tommy is the son of Lucille Marie (Scott) and Clyde C. Jones. He is married to Dawn Laurel. He has two children with his former wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. All of his recent ancestors were Southerners. Many of his ancestral lines lead to England, and a smaller amount were Scots-Irish/Northern Irish and Scottish. He also has remote Dutch roots.

Tommy has stated that one of his grandmothers was of Cherokee Native American ancestry. He has referred to himself as a “little Indian boy.” One of Tommy’s paternal great-great-grandmothers, Harriet Jane Walls, was said to be the daughter of a Native American woman named Nicameah. It is not clear if this is accurate, or if Tommy has any verified/documented Native American ancestry. All of Tommy’s grandparents and great-grandparents are listed as “White” on United States Censuses.

Tommy’s paternal grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Nash (the daughter of Columbus Franklin Nash and Mary Jane Green). Tommy’s grandmother Mary Elizabeth was born in Texas. Columbus was the son of Franklin William/Wiley Nash and Rebecca Jane Raby. Tommy’s great-grandmother Mary Jane was the daughter of Elijah Henry Green and Harriet/Harriett Jane Walls.

Tommy’s maternal grandfather was Archie Lee Scott (the son of John Nathaniel Scott and Linnie Malinda Martin). Archie was born in Texas. John was the son of Samuel Nathaniel Scott and Sarah Eliza Garner. Linnie was the daughter of James Samuel Martin and Anda Cal Barnett.

Tommy’s maternal grandmother was Lillian Beatrice Bradshaw (the daughter of Needham Jessie Bradshaw and Almeda Modella “Media” Fleming). Lillian was born in Texas. Almeda was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Fleming and Adaline F. “Addie” Scarborough.

white celebrities are always ‘claiming’ native american heritage,it’s almost as if they’re fascinated by “wild injuns”and yet their ancestors had no qualm about exterminating them.
johnny depp, kevin costner…etc. johnny depp found out he had “african-american” blood..ain’t this a bitch?!..Lol

    He has Native American ancestry.

I’m from Scotland and I must say I’ve always though he “seemed” Scottish – just something about his personality and mannerisms. And if his mum’s name was Scott and there was no name change then he must be.

  5. Alice says:

He’s got to have Welsh ancestry with a name like Jones.

    • Alice says:

Yes Jones is Welsh. It is a very common name. The Welsh don’t seem to have the variety of names of some other countries. The typically Welsh surnames Jones, Williams, Davies, Evans and Thomas were all found in the top ten surnames recorded in England and Wales in 2000. Of course not everyone with the name Jones is Welsh as a lot of people have acquired the name. I went to school with a girl whose surname was Jones but they changed their name from a German name.

    • MacKrazy says:

Yes amazingly as small a country as Wales is everyone named Jones is of some Welsh decent. I believe 1 in 6 people are named Jones in all English Speaking countries. Also if his mother’s maiden name is Scott that’s a pretty obvious Scottish name.
      “CORRECTION’
Welsh (Jones) and Scottish(Scott) decent and his features do look very native American.

    • roman2886 says:

He defiantly has Welsh ancestry it’s be proven Jones is a Welsh surnames but it’s also a English surname Jones is very common is surname in England and Wales.

      • Alice says:

I’ve read up a bit more on the subject and Jones does actually have an English origin. (Who would have thought that?). It is the most numerous name in Wales but first appears on records in England in 1273.
