Ted Lindsay was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played as a forward for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Black Hawks, of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was nicknamed “Terrible Ted.”

Ted was the son of Mary Louise Maud Villemaire and Bert Lindsay (Leslie Bertrand Lindsay), who was a professional ice hockey player.

Ted’s paternal grandfather was James B. Lindsay (the son of John Lindsay and Elizabeth Brown). James’s parents were Irish.

Ted’s paternal grandmother was Euphemia Louise Felker (the daughter of William Felker and Elizabeth Ferrier). Euphemia’s parents were Scottish.

Ted’s maternal grandfather was Alexander Vilemaire (the son of Alexandre Villemaire and Teresa Emerence Marion Sicard).

Ted’s maternal grandmother was Marie Louise Dupuis (the daughter of Pierre Dupuis and Emerance Martin dit Barnabe).
