Swae Lee is an American singer, rapper, and composer. He is a member of the hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, along with his brother Slim Jxmmi.

Swae was born in Los Angeles, California, and grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi. His parents separated early.

Swae’s maternal grandfather was Robert Walker, Jr. (the son of Robert Walker and Cecil Boyd/Boby). Swae’s grandfather Robert was born in Louisiana.

Swae’s maternal grandmother is Patricia Ann Henry (the daughter of James Thurman Henry and Vivan Snell). Patricia was born in Ohio. James was the first black mayor of Xenia, Ohio. He was the son of Edward Thomas Henry and Anna May Tyler. Vivian was the daughter of William M. Snell and Louisa Carter.
