Katic was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She has stated:
My parents are Serbs from Croatia. I call us Dalmatian because that’s the part of the planet that we are originally from. I have Serb, Croat and even a handful of Montenegrin family members.
Her father is from Vrlika and her mother is from around Sinj. She speaks fluent English, Serbian, French, and Italian. She also has U.S. citizenship.
Stana is married to consultant Kris Brkljac, with whom she has one child.

Hi Lena, I tend to disagree. I think she is just Serb as she says her parents are Serb but from Croatia. Also she has Croatian and Montenegrin family members, which means they could have married into her family. Feel free to prove me wrong. thanks
