Silvia is the daughter of Orlando José Cornejo Castañeda (later Cornejo Morales) and Melania del Carmen Pichardo López (later Pichardo Morales). Orlando was the son of José Humberto Cornejo Romero and Francisco Aurora Morales García. Melania is the daughter of José Antonio Pichardo García and Josefa del Carmen Morales Izaguirre.
