Rob Schneider is an American actor, comedian, writer, and director. His roles include Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Demolition Man, Judge Dredd, The Waterboy, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal, The Hot Chick, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, The Benchwarmers, Click, Big Stan, Grown Ups, and Hubie Halloween, and Saturday Night Live. He has often had cameo/bit parts as characters of a multiracial smörgåsbord of ethnicities.

Rob is the son of Pilar M. (Monroe) and Marvin Schneider. His father was Ashkenazi Jewish, from a family from Poland and Russia. His mother was Catholic. She was born in the Philippines, to an American father, who had English, and distant Scottish, ancestry, and to a Filipino mother. Rob’s mother, along with her own mother and sisters, was interred in a Japanese concentration camp during WWII. Rob formally converted to Catholicism in 2023.

Rob is married to television producer Patricia Azarcoya Arce. He has a daughter, musician and actress Elle King, with his former wife, model London King; and two children with Patricia. His brother is producer John Schneider.

Rob’s paternal grandfather was named Sigmund Solomon Schneider. Solomon was a Jewish emigrant, from Galicia, most of which was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, or Poland, which was then part of the Russian Empire.

Rob’s paternal grandmother was named Molly Hoffman (the daughter of Harry Hoffman). Molly was a Jewish emigrant, from Russia.

Rob’s maternal grandfather was Ulysses Stanley Monroe (the son of Oscar Wood Monroe and Ada Fuller). Ulysses was born in Berlin, Ottawa, Michigan, and had English, and distant Scottish, ancestry. Many of his lines trace to Colonial America in New England. Oscar was the son of William Monroe and Mary A. Stanley, who was Canadian. Ada was the daughter of Lafayette Fuller, from New York, and of Harriet Keel/Keal, whose parents were English.

Rob’s maternal grandmother was Victoria Estacio (the daughter of Agapito Estacio and Agatuna Calub). Victoria was Filipino.

    Add Ilocano to the ethnicity and tags. Calub is an Ilocano name and Estacio seems to be most common in the Ilocos region:
