Randy Johnson is an American professional baseball player. He was a pitcher. Randy was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015. He is nicknamed “The Big Unit.”

Randy is the son of Carol and Rollen Johnson. He is married to Lisa. He has five children, including four with Lisa.

Randy’s paternal grandfather was named Carl Johnson. Carl was Swedish.

Randy’s paternal grandmother was Alice Nephew (the daughter of Thomas Joseph Nephew and Myrtle Maxfield). Alice had French-Canadian ancestry. Thomas was born in Michigan, the son of Thomas J. Nephew and Marie Catherine Dube. Myrtle was born in Minnesota, the daughter of George Maxfield and Alice May.

Randy’s maternal grandfather was named Robert M. Johnson. Robert was born in Sweden.

Randy’s maternal grandmother was Agnes Emilie Kunde (the daughter of Charles Herman Kunde and Johanna Louise Tugendreich Butt). Agnes’ parents were German. Charles was the son of Freidrich Wilhelm Kundo and Johanna Caroline Ziebel. Randy’s great-grandmother Johanna was the daughter of Charles Karl Butt and Augusta Ruhn Meier.
