An article published at “Diary of a Hollywood Street King” claimed that Pharrell’s mother is Filipino. This information is not accurate. Pharrell’s mother is African-American, and is pictured at the bottom right of this page. Also, for whatever reason, Ebony.com stated that Pharrell is of part Laotian descent. They may have confused Pharrell’s mother with Pharrell’s wife, Helen Lasichanh, who is of part Laotian descent.

I think I made myself perfectly clear.
I have given name of the African tribe and people that look Asian.
Egyptian are not black.. it is a nationality.
You black are so obsess with claiming and taking credit for others ethnicity. Even though others races and ethnicities don’t wanna do anything with you black. example
How many time have you seen an Chinese person saying that he have African blood.
Even Dominican dont consider themselves black African.

    • oddmodd says:

You’re a damn liar. I live in the Miami area and though they are not African-Americans, 70% of Dominicans have African heritage and they acknowledge that. Do your research feeble boy about your Egyptian history. The entirety of African was black prior to Greek infiltration. That includes the Egyptians. They were black African. Africans came in varying phenotypical types with slightly varying degrees of skin colors but they were all if the same racial type.

      • Peanut says:

nope, the greeks had no impact at all on african genetics. east africans, from east of the nile down to the horn of africa, mixed with caucasoids from southern arabia and migrated back and forth, crossing the red sea for the last 15,000 years. those people mixed again in (what would become) lower egypt with caucasoids, who came over the sinai peninsula from mesopotamia. plus, the proto-berber, who setteled in northern africa over 10,000 years ago were caucasoids too.

(east africans, from east of the nile down to the horn of africa, mixed with caucasoids from southern arabia)

Well those southern Arabians were descended from East Africans in the first place. However yes they did go back and forth. Now if you mean Caucasoid as in a phenotypical trait that they acquired while either still in Africa or gained while in Arabia, fine. However if you mean white people then no.You set the date, the pale skin mutation didn’t exist 15,000 yrs ago,not even 10,000.

          • Peanut says:

yes, i’m talking dark skinned caucasoids, maybe dravidian looking, who knows. not what most western people think of as caucasians nowadays.

“The entirety of African was black prior to Greek infiltration. That includes the Egyptians. They were black African.”

Boy don’t start with your Afrocentric nonsense — the Berbers were never black and you can look at depictions of them prior to Alexander the Great’s conquest of Egypt and they aren’t black.

There’s no irrefutable evidence the Ancient Egyptians were initially a Negroid population and they certainly weren’t entirely Negroid too. Even prior to Alexander the Great plenty of groups from West Asia (Hyksos, Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians, etc) touched Ancient Egypt way before the Greeks did too, so even if the Egyptians were initially black (no proof), they weren’t solely or entirely a black population before Alexander the Great’s conquest in 332 BC.

        • memphis says:

You do understand the term “Negroid” is a very recent term (17th century). “Black” is a social term. Africans don’t have to have the stereotypical look of huge lips and noses. Every dna test I’ve seen of Egyptian dna (at least y dna) ties back to Africa and West Asia with a very small percentage from Europe. Modern Egyptian are very mixed with, besides Arab, large contributions from Turkey(who are also very mixed). Real Caucasians are Central Asians, were is said the Amazigh (Berber) originated in the Caucasus. Due to similar dna with Somalis and other East Africans, Amazigh most like originated in East or North Africa.

    • blackgeno says:

And you are so obsessed about what blacks claim, we can claim whatever the hell we want. Hitler your brother was claiming to be Aryan lol while your other brothers claim a Jewish Jesus is white lol. Gtfo with that rubbish, Egypt is in Africa, next door to South Sudan which is very black, so geographically, it is possible that black Africans lived in Egypt, as a matter of fact, black Nubians were points of Egypt for almost 100 years after they conquered it! Read a damn book! Humanity itself started in Africa including your dumb self! Today a lot of people of African heritage don’t claim it because of the economic status of Africa, if Africa rises and becomes as great as it should be then even your father will trace his DNA to AFRICA!

  3. shobohunter says:

    says who? source please. .

  4. shobohunter says:

he probably belong to that African tribe who look Asian.
    Google
Malagasy Peoples. Negrito, the san people
himba people also have mongloid features. people
    living in northern Namibia..etc

    • mariposita says:

Some dark skinned Asians may look similar to black people. And at one point, thousands of years ago, they may have lived in Africa but genetically they are not the same race as Africans. Being separated for thousands of years gave them different genetic markers. If you study anthropology or even just study people, you will see NO ONE GROUP OWNS A PHYSICAL FEATURE. So-called Asian eyes, or monolid, or epicanthal fold is also found in the Xhosa of South Africa (believed to be the oldest people on Earth), and some northern Europeans-Iceland and a small minority in Scandinavia. But not all Asians have that feature. There are people in Asia, and not soley the dark southern ones, that have very similar facial characteristics to people in Africa. I know many blacks, 100% or not, that could pass for a black-asian mix, me included. For African Americans and Afro-Latinos, those so called “asian” features most likely come from their African ancestry or their native ancestry. Yes the natives came from Asia thousands of years ago.
