He is the son of Dale, a high school admissions counselor, and Pete Wentz II, an attorney. Pete’s father is white and Pete’s mother is black. Pete’s father is of German, English, and distant Welsh, French, Irish, and Swiss-German, descent. Pete’s maternal great-grandparents were all black Jamaican immigrants. A picture of Pete with his parents can be seen here. A picture of Pete, along with Pete’s mother, and President Joe Biden (then-Senator), can be seen here.
Pete has a son with his former wife, singer, songwriter, and actress Ashlee Simpson; and two children with his partner Meagan Camper.
Pete’s paternal grandfather was Roy Albert Wentz (the son of Roy Albert Wentz and Mina L. Regnold). Pete’s grandfather Roy was born in Illinois, and was of mostly German and English descent.
Pete’s paternal grandmother was Phyllis Norbury (the daughter of Frank Garm Norbury and Mary Elson Barnes). Phyllis was born in Illinois. Frank was the son of Frank Parsons Norbury and Mary Garm. Pete’s great-grandmother Mary was the daughter of Charles Albert Barnes and Madge G. Martin.

Pete’s grandfather Arthur was a cousin of General Colin Powell (likely through his Coote line).

correction; his eyes are hazel (light brown) and his hair is virtually black (noirette) I think it should be listed
He’s white. He is what his father is. I believe in the Bible. I know many Jamaicans believe in the Bible. In the Bible, it goes by your father’s heritage regardless of who your mother is (e.g. Jacob “Israel”, Noah, Shem, Ham, Japheth, Judah, Edom, Moab, etc.) In this case, Pete’s father is white (an Edomite) and so is he.

Then I guess Bob Marley is white too because his father was white.
According to the Bible and how people’s lineage is determined, yes, Bob Marley too. And (as amazingly it may seem to you) so are Marley’s sons. It doesn’t matter what their phenotype is or whether so-called whites (Edomites) accept them as “white”. They are Edomites, as is Lenny Kravitz and guitarist Slash, who also have white fathers.
Some of the comments on this page are beyond assinine. “Most Jamaicans are lighter than African Americans”. WTF?! How stupid can you be? People in general differ in complexion. You have light, medium and dark complexion with both Jamaicans and African Americans. Geez! Get a life and stop worrying about other people’s racial mixtures. At least know what you’re talking about before posting it on the Internet and sounding like an idiot.
Wow this is news to me, he is a spitting image of his mother. When he was young, he looked mixed with the cute curly hair. I think he straightened his hair. If his hair has the natural curles, then we could may be tell he’s mixed. Any ways, his cute son most definately inherited the curles from him
because he looks like a white guy, being 3/4 of Euro descent (actually I thougth the was Jewish.) Also there aren’t many black musicians involved in rock scene. About Colin Powell, he has Scottish ancestors too
Wentz Family. His mom is of mixed-race

@follers
(Like I said, Afro-Jamaicans are often lighter than African-Americans)
Hmmmm,let me guess the AA’s near you are more on the darker side?Well lets just say,that the Jamaicans are like all the others groups of people of fairly recent African descent.That they run the gamut,from(white or whitish to very dark).With a variety of Phenotypes and European blood mixture
@follers
Here I am thinking you were home grown.Where are you from?Now back to the subject,if you hadn’t revealed that Powell was of Jamaican descent,I would have never known.Because like I told the other person,I’ve never been or lived in a place where,all the AA’s were the same.The people you listed, would fit right in around here.The Jamaicans I’ve seen,are no where near those people skin tone.Like I said to the other site member,my idea of a Jamaican(base on what I’ve seen), was shabba ranks(this is before I started to study the area)Well you live and learn,thanks for explaining what you meant.
family Wentz again

I presume u can distinguish a mixed-person from a full-blooded one. Usain Bolt is a Black Jamaican, Bob Marley a “mulatto”
