Paolo Sorrentino is an Italian film director, screenwriter, and writer. His La Grande Bellezza (2013) won the Academy Award, the Golden Globe, and the Bafta Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He has also written and directed the films The Consequences of Love, The Family Friend, Il divo, This Must Be the Place, Youth, Loro, and The Hand of God. He also created television’s The Young Pope. He is the son of Concetta Romano and Salvatore Sorrentino.
