Norm Cash was an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, he played his professional career mainly with the Detroit Tigers, as well as with the Chicago White Sox, of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Norm was the son of Mildred and Silas Bandy Cash.

Norm’s paternal grandfather was Arthur Silas Cash (the son of John Cash and Edna Anice Linton). Edna was born in Tennessee, the daughter of John Benjamin Linton and Nancy Jane Bullock.

Norm’s paternal grandmother was Callie Blum (the daughter of John Robert Blum and Fannie Drake).

Norm’s maternal grandfather was Early Milton Woodward (the son of Alexander Newton Woodward and Josephine Shanks). Alexander was born in Alabama, the son of Cader Woodward and Elizabeth Ann Studdard. Josephine was born in Texas, the daughter of Peter Shanks and Patsy Ann Havens.

Norm’s maternal grandmother was Hattie Elizabeth Reed (the daughter of John Samuel Reed and Martha J. Riley). John was born in Illinois, the son of Thomas Jefferson Reed and Lucy Renfro. Martha was born in Missouri, the daughter of Bennett Riley and Lydia Ann Barnes.
