Nanasipauʻu Tukuʻaho is the Queen consort of Tonga, having served in the capacity since 18 March, 2012. She is the daughter of Baron Vaea (Siaosi Tuʻihala ʻAlipate Vaea Tupou), who was the Prime Minister of Tonga from 22 August, 1991 to 3 January, 2000, and of Baroness Tuputupukipulotu Lausi’i. She is married to Tupou VI, who is the King of Tonga.

Nanasipauʻu’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her seventh great-grandfather, ‘Atuheua Tu’ipelehake.

Nanasipauʻu’s paternal grandfather was Vīlai Tupou (the son of George Tupou II and Tupou Moheofo). George was the son of Siaosi Fatafehi Toutaitokotaha and ʻElisiva Fusipala Taukiʻonetuku. Nanasipauʻu’s great-grandmother Tupou was the daughter of ‘Isileli Tupou and Lavinia Veiongo Mahanga.

Nanasipauʻu’s paternal grandmother was Tupouseini Manumatavai Vaea (the son of Siosaia Pau’uvale Loloa’atonga, 13th Noble Vaea, and of Kalolaine Tongilava). The 13th Noble Vaea was the son of Solome Kulikefu, 11th Noble Vaea, and of Finau Fekita. Kalolaine was the daughter of Filipe Taufa Tongilava and Seluvaia Tupou’uluiki.

Nanasipauʻu’s maternal grandfather was Siosaia Siotame Lausi’i, 7th Noble Ma’afu (the son of Siotame Fakatulolo, 6th Noble Ma’afu, and of Teisa Vaka Sateki). The 6th Noble Ma’afu was the son of Finau Filimoe’uli, 5th Noble Ma’afu, and of ‘Ane Nanasi Kioa. Teisa was Samoan.

Nanasipauʻu’s maternal grandmother was ‘Anaukihesina Lamipeti (the daughter of Sione Lamipeti Mafile’o and ‘Alilia Funakitoutai Tapueluelu). Sione was the son of Sunia ‘Akaveka Mafile’o and Fanetupou Vava’u. ‘Alilia was the daughter of Tevita Ta’ofikaetau Tapueluelu and Siutiti ‘Afuha’apai Luani

Nanasipauʻu’s matrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her fourth great-grandmother, Valai Ma’ume’a.
