Lauren Boebert is an American politician, businessperson, gun activist, and conspiracy theorist. A Republican, she has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Colorado, since January 3, 2021. She owned Shooters Grill in Rifle, CO, a restaurant where staff members were encouraged to open carry, from 2013 to 2022; with her then-husband Jayson Boebert. In congress, she is associated with the Republican Study Committee, the Freedom Caucus, of which she has been communications chair, and the Second Amendment Caucus.

The identity of Lauren’s biological father is not known, at least publicly. Her mother, Shawna, was eighteen when she was born. When Lauren was growing up, her family struggled financially, and were partially reliant on welfare. Her family spent several years in Florida, as well as Montbello, in Denver, Colorado, and then Aurora and Rifle, both in CO. She became a born-again Christian in 2009.

Lauren has four chlildren with her former husband Jayson.

Lauren’s maternal grandfather was Thomas Edwin “Buddy” Roberts (the son of Roy Edwin Roberts and Evelyn Arnold Sutton). Thomas was born in Florida. Roy was the son of Alexander Pearson “Aleck” Roberts and Lidia Lavinia Springfield, or Lyda Aurene Mauldin. Evelyn was the daughter of Kelsey Sutton and Annie Arnold Dunn.

Lauren’s maternal grandmother was Opal Eugene Cline (the daughter of Norman Cline and Sallie Sheppard). Opal was born in Florida. Norman was the son of Benjamin Levi Cline and Etta L./Belle McDuffie. Sallie was the daughter of Samuel Henry Sheppard and Elizabeth Nancy Summeralls.
