José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero is a Spanish politician. He served as Prime Minister of Spain, from 17 April, 2004 to 21 December, 2011. He was Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, from 22 July, 2000 to 4 February, 2012, and Leader of the Opposition, from 22 July, 2000 to 16 April, 2004.
