I just want to correct the assertion that Benjamin Bolling was the son of John Kennon Bolling and Elizabeth Blair. While it states that he was their son on the gravestone, it’s obviously a newly erected one and someone is trying to push a narrative. There is no proof the couple had a son named Benjamin. All their children are listed in John Bolling’s will, minus two that died in infancy. There’s no mention of Benjamin.

I ask this to be checked. Most likely there a couple of ancestors with non white ancestry, but not Melungeons, who despite being a white/black mix, are usually associated with, or just called Lumbee, a recognized tribe with little Native American DNA (how ironic is that).
