James Zogby is the founder and president of the Arab American Institute (AAI). AAI is a non-profit membership organization, focusing on the issues and interests of Arab-Americans nationwide, and serves as a political and policy research arm of the Arab-American community. It is based in Washington, D.C.
James is the son of Celia Ann and Joseph Zogby, who were born with the same surname. His father emigrated from Lebanon to the U.S. around 1922. His mother was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, to Lebanese parents. His family is Catholic. His brother, John Zogby, is a public opinion pollster, author, and public speaker, who founded pollster Zogby International.
James was married to Eileen P. McMahon, until her death, with whom he has five children.
