Israel Folau is an Australian professional dual-code rugby footballer. A centre and wing in rugby league, he played for Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Broncos, and Catalans Dragons, and was representative with NRL All Stars, Queensland, and Australia. A fullback, wing, and centre in rugby union, he has played with New South Wales Waratahs and Urayasu D-Rocks, and has been representative in the Australia and Tonga national teams. He is also a utility in Australian rules football, having played for Greater Western Sydney. He is 6′4″.

Israel was born in Minto, New South Wales, Australia, to Tongan parents, Amelia and Eni Folau. His brother is rugby league and rugby union footballer John Folau. He is married to New Zealand netball player Maria Tuta’ia.

His parents are devout Mormons (LDS).
