something people forgets it is that native amerindias are only eurasian inmigrants which later also evolved. The mother looks normal peruvian to me (average) but she is already mixed otherwise she would look darker and with sharper edges, but definitely the European contribution is low btw

When I looked at her now, the ameridian features (lowering nose, high cheekbones, jaw) have accentuated with the years. Even when younger, her jaw was something I realized was very Peruvian. Her skin tone is also very much like native Peruvians (which is golden redish, sort of baked) which I guess for Europeans must be really exotic. It is an interesting combination with the deep blue eyes. Also her body is full of fiber from amerindians but shapy like europeans. I am happy she accepts herself as she is and does not use makeup to look something she is not :)

Yes. Her jaw, cheekbones and nose imo always looked off. Like their was a non European ancestry giving her these features. When she mentioned Peruvian ancestry it all clicked. She’s very pretty though.. I was never a fan of square jaws though..

I don’t even think she’s a castiza. I believe her mother is straight up Amerindian with distant European. The majority of Peruvians are Amerindian, followed by mestizos and if her mother was a Spanish it would be mentioned, so she is a mestizo at most but I believe she is just mostly Amerindian. Her European influence comes from her Danish father. Her features are a dead giveaway of heavy Amerindian influence with shows even more as she gets older. The cheekbones, jaw shape. I have a keen eye for this type of mixture that most people don’t recognize.

There’s a half Mohawk actress named Kaniehtiio Horn and I think she looks more European than Helen. She is tribally enrolled and considers herself Mohawk even though she may not “look native” to some people. It doesn’t matter, as long as she has a native parent and is tribally enrolled she is Mohawk. I don’t know about Latin American Amerindians, but half native north American’s mixed with European(Anglo) can look very European. They don’t need to be mostly white in order to look very European influenced in regards to appearance, even with one native parent.
