Hmm some of you talk a lot of things that you do not know.
Ok I am Trini so I can tell you, when the term Afro-Trinidadian is used it means, a black trini. Yes because of our culture most trinis are mixed, some more than others. It is common to see a dougla trini look mostly negro and not indian yet oe of their parents are indian. It is also common to see an indian woman have a baby with a white man and the child either come out looking pure white or pure east indian. We are used to this and it is not a problem, I think for a country that has so many immigrants you guys would get over the whole idea of what a mixed race person SHOULD look like. Who cares it is 2012, move on with your lives
YES YOUR SO RIGHT.
I couldn’t have said it better sista.
I’m Half Trini and half my Great grant uncles and aunts range in looks between Vanessa Williams and Gabrielle Reece.
Oddly Enough my grandmother looks like a Arawak Indian lol.
I think unless your from Brazil or a country with alot of Creole people its hard to understand the amount of diversity you can have with mixed people.
Ive see two dark people make a light baby and to light people make a dark baby.
Most Americans first reaction is that the mother must be cheating.
I think that is awesome she has african ancestry. I love the fact that she is mixed with black and doesn’t look nothing at all because you do not have to look black to be mixed with black. So to those racist people you must be sad because she is a beautiful women and you racist whites cannot claim her lol suck it. I have a son with a white men he looks very southern european looking doesn’t look black.
