Francois Hougaard is a South African rugby union player. A half-scrum and wing, he plays for Saracens and the South Africa national sevens team. He was previously with Western Province, Bulls, Southern Kings, Blue Bulls, Worcester Warriors, and Wasps. He also represented South Africa in men’s rugby sevens at the Olympics.
Francois is the son of Ilse and Rikus Hougaard.
Francois’ paternal grandfather was Francois Johannes Hougaard (the son of Petrus Wilhelm Johan Hougaard and Heletta Gertruida Basson).
