Fabien Frankel is a British actor. He is known for his roles on the shows The Serpent and House of the Dragon, and in the films Last Christmas and Venice at Dawn.

Fabien is the son of French advertising account executive Caroline Besson and British actor Mark Frankel.

Fabien’s paternal grandfather was David Frankel (the son of Alexander Frankel and Florence Roessler). David had Polish Jewish ancestry.

Fabien’s paternal grandmother was Grace Marshall (the daughter of Joseph Nissim Shmuel Zadka Marshall and Madeline Zilka). Grace had Indian Jewish/Iraqi Jewish ancestry, with roots in Mumbai and Baghdad. Joseph was born in Baghdad, the son of Nissim Mashal/Marshall/Za’aroor and Farha Sadka. Through this line, Fabien’s first cousin, twice removed, was Singaporean politician David Marshall, who was Chief Minister of Singapore, from 6 April, 1955 to 7 June, 1956 (head of government), and Chairman of the Workers’ Party, from 1957 to 1963.

Fabien has described his mother as French-Italian.

    Is the Iraqi Jewish perhaps Kurdish Jewish? Most of the Jews in Iraq are of Kurdish origin. He has very Kurdish features. Also what is the English Jewish listing supposed to refer to?

      Indian Jewish also doesn’t really make sense. Most of the Jews in India are Jews that migrated from Iraq. Nothing Indian about them genetically
