Didier Drogba is an Ivorian professional footballer. A striker, he played for Le Mans, Guingamp, Marseille, Chelsea, Shanghai Shenhua, Galatasaray, Montreal Impact, and Phoenix Rising; and the Ivorian national team, which he also captained.

His brothers, Joël and Freddy Drogba, have also been footballers. Didier spent several years in France during his youth, including being sent to live in France when he was five with his uncle, professional footballer Michel Goba; and later returning to France to live in Antony, a Paris suburb. He has three children, including footballer Isaac, with his former wife Lalla Diakité. Lalla is Malian. His cousin is professional footballer Kévin Goba, who is Michel’s son.

Didier is Catholic.
