Deniz Tek is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is a member of rock band Radio Birdman.
He is the son of university professor and author Mehmet Rasin “Ray” Tek. His father was born in Istanbul, Turkey.
Deniz’s maternal grandfather was Karl Henry Hachmuth (the son of Henry C. Hachmuth and Nettie Taylor). Henry was the son of German parents, Christian C. Hachmuth and Ida Pauline Seyferth/Seyforth. Nettie was the daughter of James B. Taylor and Ann M. Baker.
Deniz’s maternal grandmother was Margaret Gretchen Johnson (the daughter of Fred H. Peck and Laverne Fullington). Fred was the son of Ira H. Peck and Mary Elizabeth Gross/Groos. Laverne was the daughter of George W. Fullington and Clara M. Barnes, who was born in Canada, to an English father.
