She was raised in Brooklyn. Her father is of Dominican Republic descent. Her maternal grandfather was born in Kalamata, Greece. Her maternal grandmother was born in Puerto Rico. She has stated,
The food is all half and half: rice and beans, and feta, and olives and lamb… we celebrate Greek Easter, and Christmas, and all the major holidays are celebrated Greek Orthodox… I’m like every other Greek – family oriented, sticking together… if I wanted a home cooked meal, I could just hop on the subway.
Denise is married to director and photographer Anthony Mandler, with whom she has two children.
Most likely just got the gene for blue eyes that’s just it. That syndrome you’re referring to usually is accompanied by other things does it look like she has anything wrong with her?
Who says all those people are sick? There was an article last year with a research team led by Tishkoff, that stated that black people have their own variation of genes responsible for light eye, . Which makes perfect sense seeing that human beings are 99.999% the same. . so why wouldn’t African genes mutate just like everybody else’s have. just like Asians had their own variation for light skin
I believe her maternal grandparents are Nikitas Vasilopoulos and Rosa Flores, but don’t know for sure.
