Darryl Strawberry is an American professional baseball player, ordained Christian minister, and author. He was a right fielder, who played for the New York Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the San Francisco Giants, and the New York Yankees, of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is nicknamed “The Straw Man” and “Straw.”
Darryl is the son of Ruby and Henry Strawberry, who are both African-American. He is a born-again Christian. Darryl is married to Tracy. He has two children, D. J. Strawberry, a professional basketball player, and Jordan, a college basketball player. Darryl and Tracy have founded The Darryl Strawberry Foundation, an organization dedicated to children with autism.
