Darryl Strawberry is an American Major League Baseball player, ordained Christian minister, and author. He was a right fielder. Darryl is the son of Ruby and Henry Strawberry, who are both African-American. He is a born-again Christian.

Darryl is married to Tracy. He has two children, D. J. Strawberry and Jordan, who are both basketball players. Darryl and Tracy have founded The Darryl Strawberry Foundation, an organization dedicated to children with autism.

Darryl’s paternal grandfather was Henry Strawberry (the son of Eddie Strawberry and Martha Taylor). Henry was born in Mississippi.

Darryl’s paternal grandmother was Mary Washington (the daughter of Tom Washington and Sarah Williams). Mary was born in Mississippi.
