He told of how he traced his ancestral roots to Ghana”

So because he said he has Ghanaian ancestor, we supposed to just believe him without any proves ?
I wonder where he discovers this information
Well he went there, so he believes it’s part of his heritage. Maybe he did a test, and is just not sharing it, it does happen
I may be wrong but I am guessing GLXY’s point could also be is Kaepernick is lying or making this statement randomly without DNA proof or documented evidence. Don’t forget Alessandra Torresani being “half Jewish” and “celebrating Chanukah” or Chuck Norris being “half Irish half Native American.” Celebrities like everyone else make claims without knowing them for a fact even though in this case it most likely is the case Colin Kaepernick know’s what he is talking about.
That’s exactly what I meant. Usually white americans just say “I’m Irish” and when you check their genealogy they’re mostly British and/or German with a bunch of partial european roots (Irish, Dutch, Frenxh, Italian, etc…).
For Black Americans, the default answer is to say I have ancestors from Ghana and Nigeria while they have partial african roots from all over the african west coast. If he was able to traced his roots from Ghana, there was probably other roots.
I understood what was meant.
@ Glxy
Well the profile does say including Ghana, which leaves room for other countries .Maybe Ghana was the highest, and he just decided to focus on that one. Also it’s isn’t just Africa West. personally my Africa background has everything circle except Sudan and Ethiopia. I went back and looked, and Egypt was circle with the rest of North Africa
