Chris O’Dowd is an Irish actor and comedian. His roles include the films Gulliver’s Travels (2010), Bridesmaids, Friends with Kids, Cuban Fury, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Cloverfield Paradox, and Slumberland, and the shows The Clinic, The IT Crowd, Girls, Moone Boy, which he also created, and directed and wrote for; Get Shorty, and State of the Union.
Chris is the son of Denise, a counsellor and psychotherapist, and Seán O’Dowd, a graphic designer. He is married to Scottish writer, director, and television presenter Dawn O’Porter, with whom he has two children.
