ah, no. cassie is black and filipino.
No black, filipno, Mexican &west indian your not her so you can’t tell her or change what she said herself!
you idiot she said on 106&park when she first came out that she was black, mexican, west indian, so take your own advice “you can’t tell her or change what she said herself”.
Your dumb. Watch this video she clearly says Her Fathers Filipino and her Mothers Black.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGkhma_j4HU
I’m Sorry But He Is Not Dumb, Yes She Says Her Mother Is Black Because Maybe That’s How Her Mother Self Identify Herself; But If You Move To The Top To See The Pic Of Her Grandmothers, It Is Quiet Obvious That The Grandmother With The White Hair Is Her Maternal Grandmother Which Means That Cassie’s Mom Is Half Black!
@total23
you being a black person, you should know her appearance doesn’t mean the women is half black
Sorry, But Can You Elaborate More Please. I Don’t Quite Understand What Your Saying?
To total23
Sorry for jumping in,but I think I understand. My grandmother was the same color as that woman, now she was half black and creole. Now that said,Cassie grandma can be half, which means her mother is not half.I’ve put stuff like this before on here for you to look at,but I see you don’t remember. You can be exactly the same color as that woman, and yet be 30% white:

What I’m saying is,sometimes you take the most traits from what your the least of;like
Neguinho da beija flor(67.1% European):

But looks completely his African side(31%)
But If Cassie’s Mother Is Mixed With Mexican And Afro West Indian Then You Can Clearly ASSUME That Cassie’s Maternal Grandmother Is The One That Is Mexican. (Again I Said Assume, Didn’t Say She Is The One That’s Mexican)
Another Thing Is That You Live In America, And I Live In Canada. Canadians Did Not Have That One Drop Rule Which Still Exist Today In Your Country. So In Canada We Would Not Consider Cassie’s Maternal Grandmother To Be Black, We Would Probably Consider Her To Be Black Admixture But Not Black! But For Black People In America You Guys MAY See It Differently Because Of The One Drop Rule. For Example Halle Berry Will See Her Daughter As Black Regardless That Her Daughter Is 75% Caucasian (White). Therefore She Would Consider Her Grandchildren Black Regardless If Her Grandchildren May Be 87.5% Caucasian (That’s Only If Her Daughter Is Married To A White Man)

Her Grandma being Mexican, doesn’t mean much. That place has so many different ethinicies running through it.We’re both making assumptions here, neither of us really knows what’s in her maternal line.Like I said just because the grandma looks a certain way on the outside, doesn’t prove very much.We have to many unanswered question here.
Now this ODR,I never heard of this rule until I came on line.Like I told you before, growing up I never seen just one color of black.People like her grandma were more than happy to answer to black,so I never thought anything of it,it was normal to me.Now being on line,I see how it upsets people to be called that, but it’s not my fault, that I can’t tell 50feet away that mixed with something else, especially if it’s not very noticeable. Now like I said,I been around Creoles my entire life, and not one of them has ever said don’t you call me black, even my grandmother who could not stand the black color, never utter those words. To tell the truth,in 100yrs,this might not even matter. We might be so blended,we would be fighting about something else.
One other thing I did see some African cultures, that would call someone like rihanna or myself as white, which kinda freaks me out. However I guess by them being as dark as they were,I guess we are different to them,IDK
Yes Different Cultures Of The Black Ethnicity (Ethnicity That Has A Significant Amount Of Black People) Have Different Views On Who To Consider Black!
