Carson’s paternal grandfather was James Harlan Lueders (the son of Fred Hermann Lueders and Clara Emma Cordes). James was born in Wadena, Minnesota. Fred was the son of German emigrants, Henry George Lüders and Elise Wiebe, from Stedorf, Lower Saxony. Clara was also the daughter of German emigrants, from Lower Saxony, Henry Ehlert Cordes, from Nocke, and Doris Eleonore Catharine Bormann, from Stedorf.

Carson’s paternal grandmother was Charlotte Ann Danielson (the daughter of Willard Danielson and Corinne Elizabeth Lund). Charlotte was born in Otter Tail, Minnsota. Williard was the son of Martin Danielson, whose parents were Norwegian, and of Anna Olsdatter, who was a Norwegian emigrant, from Åsnes, Hedmark. Corinne was the daughter of Charles August Lund, whose parents were Norwegian, and of Matilda/Mathilda Wessberg, whose parents were Swedish.

Carson’s maternal grandfather was Kenneth Roy Miller (the son of Roy Alex Miller and Esther R. Schuld). Kenneth was born in Minnestoa. Carson’s great-grandfather Roy was the son of Michael Miller and Crescentia Werner, who were born in Wisconsin, both of them to German parents, and had roots in Bavaria. Esther was the daughter of Anton Schuld, whose parents were German, and of Maria Anna Biener, whose grandparents were all German.

Carson’s maternal grandmother was Mabel Maxine Sjodin (born Mabel Maxine Domarus, the daughter of Frederick/Fredrick William Domarus and Clara Ireland). Mabel was born in Baker Township, Minnesota, and was adopted by Elsa Pauline (Hedin) and John Hilding Sjodin. Frederick was the son of Frederick von Domarus, a German immigrant, and of Maria Anna “Morrie” Phlugshaupt, who was Swiss-German. Clara was the daughter of Fred M.
