Carol Buschmann was an American singer. She was a member of The Chordettes, a female pop music quartet founded in 1946 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Other members of the group were, at various points, her sisters-in-law Janet Ertel and Alice Mae Spielvogel, as well as Lynn Evans, Margie Needham, Jinny Osborn, Nancy Overton, and Dorothy Schwartz.

Carol was the daughter of Helen G. and Otto John Hagedorn.

Carol’s paternal grandfather was George F. Hagedorn (the son of Heinrich Hagedorn and Maria Burhop). George was a German emigrant, from Hanover.

Carol’s paternal grandmother was Maria Johanna Greger (the daughter of Charles Friedrich “Carl” Greger, Sr. and Eleonore Henriette Budweg). Maria was a German emigrant, from Altstadt, Kolberg-Körlin. Charles was born in Neu Dollstädt, the son of Johannes Carlous Greger. Eleonore was born in Ellerwalde, the daughter of Samuel Gottfried Budweg and Anna Eleonore Wilhelmine Klein.

Carol’s maternal grandfather was Fredrick Wilhelm Kuster (the son of Adam Kuster and Minnie/Minna Phiene). Fredrick was born in East Saginaw, Michigan, to German parents.

Carol’s maternal grandmother was Augusta Christiana Puls (the daughter of Friedrich August Puls and Amalia Knocke). Augusta was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to German parents. Friedrich was from Lippe, the son of Johann Gottlieb Puls and Hanne Henriette Schneider. Amalia was the daughter of Heinrich Knocke and Marie Christine Bichant.
