Bob Gibson was an American professional baseball player. He was a pitcher, who played his entire 17 year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the St. Louis Cardinals. He was nicknamed “Gibby” and “Hoot.”

Bob was the son of Victoria and Pack Gibson. His parents were from Louisiana. He has two children with his first wife Charline; and one child with his second wife Wendy.

Bob’s paternal grandparents were named Bohaty Joseph Bohaty and Katharine. It is possible the surname Gibson comes from Katharine’s side of the family.

Bob’s maternal grandparents were named L. G. Brown and Semfronia.
