Barei is a Spanish singer and songwriter. She represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

Her father, Fortunato Reyzábal Larrouy, died shortly after she was born. She was raised by her mother, María Teresa González-Aller Monterde. She has two children.

Barei’s paternal grandfather was Julián Reyzábal Delgado (the son of Florentino Reyzábal Revuelta and Úrsula Delgado Puente). Florentino was the son of Lino Reyzábal and Gertrudis Revuelta. Úrsula was the daughter of Cristóbal Delgado and Manuela Puente.

Barei’s paternal grandmother was named María de los Milagros Larrouy Orive (the daughter of parents surnamed Larrouy and Orive).

Barei’s maternal grandfather was José María Alberto González-Aller Balseyro (the son of Cristóbal González-Aller Acebal and Eusebia Balseyro Gómez). Cristóbal was the son of Antonio González-Aller Fernandez, and of a Puerto Rican emigrant, Concepción Acebal Angulo, of San Juan. Eusebia was the daughter of Alberto Balseyro Casajús and María del Carmen Gómez Menéndez-Valdés.

Barei’s maternal grandmother was named María Concepción Monterde García (the daughter of parents surnamed Monterde and García).
