Anson Mount is an American actor.

Anson is the son of Nancy Smith, a professional golfer, and Anson Adams Mount II, one of the original contributing editors of Playboy magazine. He is married to photographer Darah Trang.

Anson’s patrilineal line can be traced to George Mount, who was born, c. 1626, in Boughton, Kent, England.

Anson’s paternal grandfather was Anson Adams Mount (the son of Goodlet Morgan Mount and Matilda Hall Adams). Anson’s grandfather Anson was born in Indiana. Goodlet was the son of James M. Mount and Mary Polly Miley. Matilda was the daughter of Edwin Adams and Susan Bailey.

Anson’s paternal grandmother was named Mary Irene Petty.

Anson’s maternal grandfather was Paul Sumpter League (the son of Robert Moon League and Blanche A. Hayes). Paul was born in South Carolina. Robert was the son of George Phillip League and Elizabeth Catherine “Lizzie” Moon. Blanche was the daughter of Sumpter Hayes and Lettie Elizabeth Coleman.

Anson’s maternal grandmother was Martha Catherine Black (the daughter of Dr. Frederick Wilber Black and Adele E. Marshall). Martha was born in West Virginia. Frederick was the son of Frederick Lamb Black, who was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and of Bethea Allen Brouse. Adele was the daughter of William Preston Marshall and Mary Catherine Warren.
