So many hate comments! She’s beautiful and also very talented. Love her
Anna’s father is mainly Irish with distant French-Canadian ancestry. William King Kendrick was the son of Jack Kendrick (1917-1978) and Mabel Lavinia Chisholm (1915). Jack was the son of Richard Nelson Kendrick and Harriet Willet. Mabel was the daughter of Claude Bryon Chisholm (1888) and Lillian Maude Duffy (1885). Both Claude and Lillian were Canadian. Lillian was the daughter of Manning Duffy (1854-1913) and Lavinia Margaret Jonah (1855-1927). The Jonah lineage leads back to surname Jeaunne which is of French origin. I have some more details on Anna Kendrick’s father when this can be confirmed.

I’ve seen some listings for Jack Kendrick as the grandfather but I strongly disagree with that. For one, Anna’s father William’s middle name was King and he must have gotten his middle name from his mother who happens to be Anna King spouse of James Francis Kendrick. I believe Anna Kendrick was named after her. Also, William Kendrick went to high school on Long Island which is where Anna King Kendrick passed away in 1972. See Williiam’s facebook which confirms his high school was Wellington C. Mepham in Bellmore, NY.
Furthermore, Mabel Chisholm Kendrick and Jack Kendrick were the parents of Roxanna, Paul, Garth, and Tanya. William is not mentioned at all in Roxanna Kendrick Proctor’s obit at: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/washingtonpost/obituary.aspx?n=roxanna-lee-proctor&pid=760254
oh okay didn’t see your comment. if you’re certain never mind then
I think I read somewhere that she has distant Native American ancestry, though it was from a long time ago.
Surprised. Thought she was an ethnic Jew through and through.
What made you think that?
