Ann B. Davis was an American actress. She was known for her roles on television’s The Bob Cummings Show and The Brady Bunch, and in the film Lover Come Back.

Ann was the daughter of Marguerite (Stott) and Cassius Miles Davis. She was mostly raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ann was an Episcopalian. She had deep roots in New England through both of her parents’ family lines.

Ann’s paternal grandfather was Frank Virgil Davis (the son of Silas Davis and Rebecca Dashiell). Frank was born in Momence, Kankakee, Illinois. Rebecca was the daughter of Charles Dashiell and Nancy Masten.

Ann’s paternal grandmother was Adeline/Adda Webster Hamilton (the daughter of Jacob Burnett Hamilton and Hannah E. Wilber). Adeline was born in Momence, Kankakee, Illinois. Jacob was the son of Adam Hamilton and Margaret Howard, whose maternal grandfather, who was born in Ireland, fought in the Revolutionary War. Hannah was born in White Creek, Washington, New York, the daughter of George Wilber and Tryphena Slocum. All of Hannah’s great-grandfathers, who were from New England, fought in the Revolutionary War, with her maternal grandmother’s father dying in the war.

Ann’s maternal grandfather was Arthur Curtiss Stott (the son of Francis/Frank/Franklin H. Stott and Helen Elizabeth Lathrop). Arthur was born in Stockport, Columbia, New York. Francis was the son of Jonathan Stott and Julia C., who were English. Helen was born in Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont, the daughter of Gideon Lathrop, a steamboat captain, and of Elizabeth Dunlop.

Ann’s maternal grandmother was Harriet/Hattie E. Evans (the daughter of Robert William Evans and Harriet Elizabeth Westcott). Ann’s grandmother Harriet was born in New York. Robert was the son of William Evans, who was English, and of Mary Blaco. Ann’s great-grandmother Harriet was the daughter of Solomon Westcott and Sarah Badger.
