Date of Birth: April 23, 1985

Angel Locsin is a Filipina television and film actress, commercial model, film producer, fashion designer, and humanitarian.
She is the daughter of Emma Araneta Bayoneta and Angel/Angelo Montelibano Colmenares, a swimmer, who earned a bronze medal with the Philippine team at the 1954 Asian Games. Her father is Filipino (Hiligaynon), of Chinese and Spanish [Galician] descent. Her mother was said to be adopted by a Muslim princess. Angel’s stage name is derived from her paternal great-grandmother Esperanza Locsin. Angel is married to professional poker player and film producer Neil Arce.
Some sources state that Angel’s maternal grandfather was a Moro, who was the Sultan of Baloi. It is not clear if this Moro ancestry has been verified/documented.
Angel’s paternal grandfather was Adolfo Colmenares y Manapat (or Adolfo Manapat Colmenares in Filipino, the son of Inocentes Colmenares and Nazarina Manapat). Inocentes was Spanish [Galician].
Angel’s paternal grandmother was Rosario Montelíbano y Locsin (or Rosario Locsin Montelíbano in Filipino, the daughter of Aniceto Montelíbano y Guanzon, or Aniceto Guanzon Montelíbano in Filipino, and of Esperanza Locsin). The surnames Guanzon and Locsin are of Chinese origin. Aniceto was the son of Pedro Montelíbano and Sylvestra Guanzon y Locsin, or Sylvestra Locsin Guanzon in Filipino. Sylvestra’s maternal grandfather, Wo Sin Lok (later Agustín Locsin), was a Chinese emigrant, from Xiamen.
Angel’s maternal grandfather was named Jaime Bayoneta.
Angel’s maternal grandmother was named Erlinda Araneta.
Angel is a fifth cousin, once removed, of actress and singer Denise Laurel.

Adolfo was born in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental. Inocente Colmenares y González was Galician, from Masma, Mondoñedo, Lugo, and was the son of Rosendo Colmenares y Cascales and María González y Moneda. Nasaria “Nazarina” Manapat y Rojas (or Nasaria Rojas Manapat in Filipino) was from Cebu City, Cebu, and was the daughter of Aniceto Manapat and Luisa Rojas.
I also found Rosario’s baptismal record. She was baptized María del Rosario Montelíbano y Locsín or María del Rosario Locsín Montelíbano in Filipino. Rosario is her calling name, and take note that Locsín must have a diacritical mark. She was born in Molo, Iloilo City, Iloilo.
Remove Spanish. Add Cebuano as part of her Filipino ancestry. Keep Filipino and Galician separate.
Her second cousin is human rights lawyer, activist and politician Neri Colmenares.
She married film producer Neil Arce recently. Congratulations!
