Wow!!! I used that DNA kit on ancestry.com and my results just came in!…. my family is from…. Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Congo, Italy, Ireland, England, Part European Jewish, Scandinavia, Polynesia, Iraq, Iran and Kuwait. Damn I knew I was mixed but this is Awesome!
Cape Verde is a group of islands located off the coast of West Africa. Most of the population (about 71%) of Cape Verde is a mix of Sub-Saharan African and European ancestry, usually from Portugal and Spain. Another celebrity of Cape Verde descent was Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes.
Amber’s paternal grandfather possibly was Francis/Frank Joseph Levonchuck (the son of Philip K. Leonchuk/Levonchuck and Pauline Tarnowski). Francis was born in Pennsylvania, to Polish parents.
Amber’s paternal grandmother possibly was Rose Spera (the daughter of Enrico Romeo/Roma Spera/Sperie and Rose Montone). Rose was born in Pennsylvania. Enrico was the son of Italian parents, John Spera/Sperie and Elizabeth. Rose was also the daughter of Italian parents, Joseph Montone/Montani and Susana Passwell/Pasquale/Dipasquale.
Amber’s maternal grandfather was Anthony J. “Sonny” Rose (who likely was the son of Theodore “Teddy” Rose and Lillian Santos). Anthony was born in Pennsylvania, to parents who were born on Brava, Cape Verde, and were black Cape Verdeans. Theodore was the son of Jose Rose and Josephine. Lillian was the daughter of Manuel Santos and Annie.
A picture of Amber’s maternal grandfather can be seen here. A picture of Amber’s grandfather, and her son, can be seen here.

Uh…no. I have green eyes and good hair am the complexion of Amber Rose. I’m from Brava Cape Verde son, you heard?
then your mix. you don’t know ur own history then don’t comment.
entirely diffrent styles are presented on this page really impressive for me keep sharing
Eish did you really had to mention that?Tell you what black people are so proud to be who they are.Amber aint black I GOT THAT
So what is ambeR . I mean hispanisc claim Jessica Alba , and that boy who played in Malcom in the Middle and both actors and ACTRESS DONT claim to be hispanic . So blacks are not the only ethnic group claiming people. Amber is mixed she is basically half black and half white.
@ashley, Amber is not half black. From Amber’s mother’s looks, she is either from Fogo or Brava Cape Verde. The average person from either of these islands is already close to a 50-50 mix with many from Brava leaning European. The average person from Brava would be considered “high yellow” I’m the U.S. See for example Gardenia Benros (Brava) and Suzanna Lubrano.
she looks black to me. she can say she’s Cape Verde all she wants. it just shows that shes another one in denial of their own race and nationality. instead of listing all the nationalities thats in the family why don’t you just say you have black in you? not full black obviously but say bi-racial b/c you got all the good qualities of black i.e that but and body and boobs. im not hating people i just wish people would just stop with the denying of their race and just admit to being black and/or biracial when they know they are.
She wasn’t “denying” the fact that she’s black.. she was just being specific on her nationality.. if she wants to tell people about her nationality let her.. she doesn’t need to be speacific on her race.. and just because she has a nice body, boobs, and butt doesn’t mean she’s black either.. there are plenty of black women who don’t have all of that and there are plenty of other races that don’t have that as well.. (there are races other than black who have goods) don’t get me wrong.. black girls have amazing butts and bodies too)
you’re being an idiot…I’m Irish, is me saying I’m Irish denying the fact I’m white? no it’s not, don’t be a dumbarse…I have a cousin who is half nigerian and half irish…does the fact he says he’s half nigerian mean he’s saying he’s not half black? omg you literally sound like the dumbest person alive haha…being SPECIFIC about your ancestry is just that dumbarse, it’s not denying anything
Last time I checked there’s really no ethnicity as Black, and White. Clearly not denial, it’s definitely stating what she really is.
