Alexander Lambert a Polish-American pianist and piano teacher.

He was the son of Salome/Salomea (Grossman) and Henry Lambert. While his father is sometimes described as French, it appears that both of Alexander’s parents were Polish Jews. Alexander graduated from the Vienna Conservatory of Music in 1878. His well-known students included Jerome Kern, Alfred Newman, and Fannie Morris Spencer.
