Adam Carolla is an American comedian, radio personality, television host, actor, podcaster, and director.

Adam is married to Lynette Paradise, with whom he has two children.

While Adam is sometimes described as having Hungarian ancestry, this is incorrect. Adam’s maternal step-grandfather, László Görög/Guttman, was a Hungarian Jewish screenwriter.

Adam’s paternal grandfather was named Jacamo/James/Giuseppe Carolla (the son of Mariano Carollo and Vincetta). James was Italian, evidently with roots in Agrigento, Sicily.

Adam’s paternal grandmother was named Louise Amatraino. Louise was born in Pennsylvania, to Italian parents.

Adam’s maternal grandfather was surnamed McCall.

Adam’s maternal grandmother was Helen Alma Pattillo (the daughter of James Nelson Patillo and Helen Agnes Preysing). Adam’s grandmother Helen was born in California. James was the son of Henry Robert Patillo and Isabella Wilson Nelson. Adam’s great-grandmother Helen was the daughter of German parents, Henry Preysing and Alvine Bertha Roedler.
