Scoot McNairy is an American actor and producer.

His family has lived in the United States (specifically in the American South) for many generations. He was raised partly in Paris, Texas. Scoot has two children with his former wife, actress and model Whitney Able.

Scoot’s paternal grandfather was Jack Hunter McNairy (the son of Demarcus Hall McNairy and Francis/Fannie Lee Hunter). Jack was born in Texas. Demarcus was the son of Francis Marion McNairy and Martha Lee Collier. Scoot’s great-grandmother Francis Hunter was the daughter of John T. Hunter and Rebecca E. Wiles.

Scoot’s paternal grandmother was Mary Twilight Stewart (the daughter of William Arlington “Arlie” Stewart and Dollie Walker). Mary was born in Texas. William was the son of William Arlington Stewart and Letitia Missouri Miller. Dollie was the daughter of George Washington Walker and Mary L. Hefley.

Scoot’s maternal grandfather is John Henry Merchant (the son of Charles Pinkey Merchant and Emma Bordelan). John was born in Louisiana. Charles was the son of John B. Merchant and Sarah Jane. Emma was the daughter of Paul A./B. Bordelan and Mary Viginia Rogers.

Scoot’s maternal grandmother is Bernice/Bernie Allyne Burroughs (the daughter of Isaac Charlie Burroughs and Florrie Weltha Wildes). Isaac was the son of Simon Barrow/Burroughs and Elizabeth/Eliza Frances Anderson. Florrie was the daughter of James Harley Wildes and Martha Vashita Jones.
