NLE Choppa is an American rapper. He gained fame in 2019 for his single “Shotta Flow,” and has since released an EP, “Cottonwood,” and two studio albums, “Top Shotta” and “Cottonwood 2.”

NLE was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to an African-American father and a Jamaican mother. He was raised in the Parkway Village area in southeast Memphis. NLE’s children include a daughter with social media personality Mariah J.; and a son with social media personality Marissa Da’Nae.
