Natasha Shneider was a Soviet-American musician and actress. She was the keyboardist and vocalist for alternative rock band Eleven, along with her partner and bandmate, Chilean-American multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Alain Johannes. She also contributed tracks for Chris Cornell and Queens of the Stone Age. She was also known as Natasha Kapustina/Kapustin.
Natasha was born in Riga, Lativa, the daughter of Mikhail Schneiderman, an accordionist, and Larisa Chirkova, a singer of romances and Russian folk songs. Her brother, Vladimir Shneider, was a member of Russian music group Singing Hearts. She was a member of state-run pop orchestra Sovremennik, with her then-husband Serge Kapustin. Natasha, her brother, and Serge, defected to the West in 1976, settling in New York City, New York. She had a son with Serge. She was then married to Alain, until her death.
