Carole Landis was an Amercian actress, singer, and model.

She was the daughter of Clara Agnes Bernice (Sentek) and Alfred Leonard Ridste, and was of half Norwegian and half Polish ancestry.

Carole’s paternal grandfather was John Andrew Anderson Ridste (the son of Andreas Andersen Oldre and Gunild Johnsdotter Bøe). John was a Norwegian emigrant, from Vang, Oppland. Andreas was the son of Anders Johnsen and Marith Anfindsdotter. Gunild was the daughter of John Amundsen Bøe and Randi “Rangdi” Evensdatter.

Carole’s paternal grandmother was Gurine Pederson Hæreid (the daughter of Lars Pedersen Hæreid and Katrina Helvik Aslaksdatter Kvammen). Gurine was born in Winneshiek, Iowa, the daughter of Norwegian parents, from Hordaland. Lars was the son of Peder Aslaksen Kvammen and Maritha Andersdotter Hereid. Katrina was the dauhgter of Aslak Endresen Kvammen and Anna Nilsdotter Bolstad.

Carole’s maternal grandfather was named Ludvig Sentek (the son of Joseph Sentek). Ludvig was an emigrant from the German Empire, likely now Poland, and was of Polish descent.

Carole’s maternal grandmother was Francis Lillian Gronowski (the daughter of Michael Gronowski and Mikaela Labowski). Francis was a Polish emigrant, from Warsaw. Michael was the son of Josephus Pawlikoski and Marianna Mosciak.
